Filmstock in Single8-cartridges

  • Sound carts: At the moment there aren't any "pre-striped" Single8-films in sound-cartridges. Nevertheless Fipra offers to pre-stripe Super8-film. Unfortunately this will only be of help when you're able to refill empty sound-cartridges yourself.
  • Film-length: Only Fuji managed to fill the cartridges with 50ft (15m) of film by using filmstocks with a polyester base. All other cartridges (Cinevia, Retro-X and the Single8-films by Agfa and Konica-Sakura from the late 1960s) contain films with an acetate base and hence only 33ft to 40ft (10m to 12m).
