Hähnel, established in Germany in 1958 as a distributor for the splicers by the French company Marguet. Also distributed some OEM-projectors, .. under their own label. Later developed their own splicers that have also been sold under different brand names, e.g. Porst, Braun, ... . The company started of move production/research completely to Ireland in 1975. So Hähnel Germany is now only a distributor for Hähnel Ireland.
